SAVE THE MUSIC

BRAND DESIGNING.

I was a freelance Brand Designer for Save The Music Foundation (STM).

Founded in 1997, Save The Music Foundation is a nonprofit that helps students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. It’s one of the leading music foundations in the United States. I worked with the Senior Director of Marketing Communications to update all the marketing assets using their new brand toolkit (typeface, colors, photos).

PRINTED BANNERS

STM had banners that showed the older brand styling. This banner I created showed the organization’s confident and modern aesthetic. I wanted to keep the design free of clutter; thus, it has only four elements (two instruments, the logo, and the text).

ONE SHEETS

I knew about STM before starting my position; however, many people don’t. I redesigned these “One Sheets’’ which explain the magic of STM to the students, parents, and communities. These sheets needed to be magnetic and akin to the organization’s work. Again, here, I used the new typeface and colors boldly

END OF YEAR CAMPAIGN

Like every nonprofit, STM wanted to receive more donations at the end of the year, when the public’s generosity was at its peak. The assets inspire someone to donate to the students and their musical development, not the nonprofit, hence the images of the students. STM played the stage on which the students could strut during their concert of possibilities.

DIGITAL DESIGNS

In harmony with the End of The Year Campaign, the Social Media Campaign showed more students in their dynamic poses. I decided on silhouette students for these designs because it allowed the viewer to experience the students and their joy of music without the extra information of a distracting background.

DIGITAL TOOLKIT

The Board of Directors has a passion for music education. The Social Media Toolkit aided the board members in achieving financial support for STM.
